We made 40 sets of Lac Turned Toys which has been the 400 year old craft of Andhra Pradesh where artisans tune wood using lathe and color the wooden with lac finish and the colors mixed in the lac are from turmeric for yellow, Sindhoor seeds for reds and orange indigo for blues and greens and we take pride in making them at SAV.

The Weave, The Loom
Ampolu a small handloom cluster in Srikakulam is a rich handloom village. A happenstance to the village with @_jaswant3 the artist @chetan_kommireddi documenting the craft and artisans @saimoments & @jdzamilia experiencing the local art. we came across the most intricate weaves and the sculpture from more than 1500 years at Sri Kurmam temple which @_jaswantveera portrayed on his canvas with natural indigo. We picked a few weaves for our sample collection and we are thrilled to announce our temple series soon to launch 🔱
